Project Overview

Black Bayou Storage is a new high deliverability salt dome storage facility located in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. Initial project development will provide 15 Bcf of working gas capacity with the development of two salt dome caverns. Black Bayou Storage will be directly connected to four major pipeline systems in Louisiana providing over 4 Bcf of transmission capacity from the facility. In close proximity to the developing Gulf Coast LNG facilities, Black Bayou provides a strategic location for managing supply and demand volatility.

Project Development Schedule

  • Planned Construction Beginning - Summer 2012

    • Initial Capacity – Summer 2015
    • Total Capacity - Summer 2016
